How Long is the Post-Study Work Permit (PGWP)?

The PGWP length depends on your program length. A 2-year program = 3-year PGWP (the
maximum). Programs under 8 months don't qualify. PGWP work counts toward Canadian PR eligibility under
Express Entry.
What is the Minimum IELTS Score for a Canada Study Permit?

For SDS: IELTS overall 6.0 with no band below 6.0. Some Master's programs require
6.5+. PTE Academic 60+ is also accepted. Our counsellors review your scores before applying.
Can I Work Part-Time While Studying in Canada?

Yes. International students can work up to 24 hours per week off-campus during term
time, and full-time during scheduled breaks (winter, summer). On-campus work has no hour limit. Helps offset
living costs significantly.
How Long Does a Canada Study Permit Take from India?

SDS (Student Direct Stream) applicants typically receive a decision within 20 calendar days of submitting a complete application. Non-SDS applications take 8–12 weeks. Abroad Consultancy recommends applying at least 3 months before your intake date to allow time for medical exams, biometrics, and any additional document requests.
How Does the Path to Canadian PR (Permanent Residency) Work?

After graduation: get PGWP → work in Canada for 1 year in a skilled job → apply
through Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry) → typically receive PR within 6–18 months. Total time from
arrival to PR: as little as 3–4 years.
